We are Sandra & Erich and would like to welcome you to our wonderful property. 

 

Sandra & Erich Profile

Casa das Amoras is a warm and authentic Alentejo style country house in the middle of the Nature Park of Serra de São Mamede. Our property has 2 hectares filled with beautiful Pine, Olive and Fruit trees. From our garden and the swimming pool you have a spectacular view of the stunning medieval village Marvão, which is located on a hilltop of the Serra.

We moved from Switzerland in 2018 because we had fallen in love with Portugal in general, and Norte Alentejo especially. Living in the Nature Park Serra de São Mamede gives us all we ever dreamed of. We love horses, especially the Portuguese Lusitano breed, and besides our 2 horses, we also have some small animals around the house (chickens, 2 small dogs and a cat).

 

Casa das Amoras House & Swimming Pool

Sandra used to be interior decorator and takes care of the decor and all you, as our guests, may need. Erich was a trained farmer in Switzerland and is in charge of the outside work.

We live in the main house, but rent out one separate bedroom with a double bed and private entrance and have a mobile home on the premises for 2 adults with 2 children or 3 adults. With both accommodations you share a private swimming pool, BBQ area and covered veranda. For more details go to the description of the guest stays.

 

Come and enjoy the slow pace of the Portuguese Alentejo. The calm and restful surroundings, the good wine and typical local food will bring you back to the basics of life!

Great hosts, great view to Marvão, lots of friendly animals, a pool with a view to the Castle, stars to look at at night, silence, nature, a good bed and a breakfast outside… What more can you ask for?

Los dueños Sandra y Erik son súper amables! Los desayunos espectaculares! El sitio es genial, en plena naturaleza con cabellos, cada noche nos sentábamos a ver las estrellas! La piscina de agua salada genial! Fuimos 2 adultos, 2 niños y nuestra perra y nos encantó a todos! Un 10! Volveremos

This house is on a quiet village. Pets are allowed in the property. Free parking area is available. No fires permitted, except on the Barbecue. Furniture rearrangement is not allowed as this can damage the floor.
